Poppie founded Wyld Mothers Fire in Brighton after the birth of her son and a need for connection. From these beginnings, she soon realised how many local mothers needed the same mental health support. Over the last 4 years, the group has grown to benefit mothers by providing a regular, non-judgemental community space.

in this role Poppie will protect and strengthen Wyld Mothers Fire’s brand by guiding internal, external and digital communications, strategic marketing, branding, design, social and sustainable responsibilities. She will also be facilitating the fire group, lighting the fire using traditional methods using flint and steel.
Poppie started her career in PR, quickly becoming a marketing specialist in social media, digital marketing and communications. Throughout her marketing career spanning 10 years, Poppie has been responsible for developing successful media strategies that span a variety of sectors in a variety of mediums.
MARION DUGGAN
Marion is the Artistic Director of Murmuration Arts. She believes that the communities we inhabit, the experiences we are exposed to and opportunities available to us shape and define who we are. Marion facilitates the creation of new networks to help connect individuals as they transition through stages of life. She works with existing communities to widen opportunities for people to engage in the arts. Often her work will involve in-depth research, focusing on building and maintaining relationships.
Marion is currently working on Nightlight Lullabies – a show inspired by her journey into motherhood. A performative installation featuring live singing, recordings of local mothers and a co-written Lullaby by the mothers in the area.
Marion is also a Director of Wyld Mothers Fire, a weekly support group that meets around an open fire, hosting guest speakers and artists. A group close to her heart when she birthed her daughter – Marion now co-runs the group bringing onboard her arts expertise, background and knowledge of creating groups that benefit communities in need.
Marion was a founding member of Ragroof Theatre and Co-Director of The Ragroof Players, developing and managing both companies for 15 years. She has toured internationally as a performer, fulfilling roles as a Performance Director and Producer. She directed Bridges y Puentes – developing a new performance language for site-responsive, promenade shows.
Marion has volunteered with Clowns Without Borders UK, where she toured Zimbabwe, India and Greek refugee camps, providing psycho-social first aid to children living in crisis situations.
